This year's BH Film program, which is led by the Association of Film Workers in the FBiH, in its seventeenth edition brings 64 titles.
This year, on the 29th. Eight feature films, one omnibus, 14 feature-length documentaries, 30 short fiction and documentaries and 11 student films will be screened as part of the Sarajevo Film Festival programme.
For the twelfth year in a row, the backbone of the program consists of a student competition program that brings together films by students of Bosnian and Herzegovinian film academies and faculties.
This year, for three official awards (Best Student Film, Special Jury Mention and Special Mention), 11 films by students of the Academy of Arts from Banja Luka, Academy of Performing Arts Sarajevo, Sarajevo Film Academy, Faculty of Dramatic and Film Arts from Bijeljina and Academy of Fine Arts from Široki Brijeg are competing.
Costume designer Lena Samardžić, director Alen Šimić and dramaturge and screenwriter Dario Bevanda will decide on which are the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian student films.
This year's program will present a total of 35 world premieres, four international and three regional premieres.
BH Film is a program that aims to promote Bosnian and Herzegovinian film, and every year it proves to be an important and indispensable platform for BiH. Authors no matter where they live and work.
The Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from 11 to 18 August this year.
