At the German factory "Pass", which operates in Semberija, preparations are underway for the production of parts for the world-famous tesla brand, which is scheduled to begin this fall. This was confirmed by the "Nezavisne novine" from this factory, from where they point out that they have arrived an extremely valuable machine that they will use for this purpose.
Namely, Rado Maletić, director of this factory, points out that the assembly will be carried out in Berlin, and they received a machine worth less than 1.4 million euros (about 2.7 million KM).
– The German bought this machine and brought it to Bijeljina. It makes various types of products, including tubes. We have four Chinese, we're doing assembly. My people, their people, have to do it, and it takes time. It will take us, to put it bluntly, 45 days to do that. We have to start production as soon as possible – said Maletić and specified that this means that production for "Tesla" should start from autumn.
He stressed that they now have about 1,100 people, with them also needing additional labor.
Of course, we're going to need new workers. In terms of earnings, the net averages about 1,300 marks. But there are also hot meals, recourse, vacation in accordance with the law, as well as travel expenses who are looking for them – Maletić pointed out.
Slavica Marković, director of the Bijeljina Regional Chamber of Commerce, points out that the company "Pass", when it started working in their area, employed significantly fewer workers than is the case today.
– The owner of the company 'Pass' saw that the conditions offered by Republika Srpska and Bijeljina are good. They also came at a good time, when there was free labor in the Bijeljina area, but that has changed in the meantime, so that they are constantly looking for workers, as they increase the number of employees – Markovic told "Nezavisne novine".
The fact that they will make parts for "Tesla", according to Markovic, shows that this is a serious company, as well as that the economic environment is good.
– But we must not stay on the stories, but we should do, each for his own part, everything necessary to help them. For example, they have a lot of employees and the company is located outside the city, so you go from the main road to a side road. When there is a shift of workers, there are large crowds and a cork is made. They sent us an initiative that we forwarded to the local self-government and the 'Paths of Republika Srpska' to solve it. Such things need to be solved so that other companies that do business with us work better and work for world-renowned companies – Said Marković.
Radenko Smiljanić, president of the Metal Industry and Mining Union of Republika Srpska, told Nezavisne novine that he had not yet had the opportunity to visit the "Pass" factory in Bijeljina.
– I didn't have the opportunity to visit that factory to see how it all works, but according to information from the media, this will bring new jobs. Basically, of course, we are happy with every new job – Smiljanić told "Nezavisne novine".
