The foreign trade deficit of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased to 4.93 billion KM in the first half of this year, from 4.61 billion KM in the same period last year.
Exports in the period January-June this year amounted to 8.68 billion KM, which is 4.5 percent less than in the first half of last year, while imports had a decrease of 0.6 percent and amounted to 13.61 billion KM.
Export coverage of imports amounted to 63.8%, according to the BiH Agency for Statistics.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1.61 billion KM, which is 5.4 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports had a value of 1.58 billion KM, which is less by 6.1 percent. Export import coverage with CEFTA countries was 101.6 percent.
Exports to EU countries amounted to KM 6.39 billion, which is 4.6 percent less than in the first half of last year, while imports amounted to 7.93 billion KM, which is 3.5 percent more. The coverage of imports by exports with EU countries was 80.7%.
