Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Denis Bećirović spoke with representatives of the Congress of Bosniaks of the World and New England Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bećirović spoke in Washington with Azem Dervišević, president of the Congress of Bosniaks of the World (KBS), Zerina Dervišević-Hasan, a member of the leadership of New England Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NEFBIH), a non-profit organization that gathers friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and NEFBiH Board member Kemal Čolakhodžić.
Representatives of these influential organizations supported the activities and initiatives of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bećirović during his visit to the United States of America, noting that such moves lead to the strengthening of BiH's position in the USA.
Azem Dervišević, president of KBS and member of the Steering Committee of the Working Group for BiH, which brings together people from BiH and Americans, said that KBS will continue to advocate for the connection of progressive people in BiH and abroad with the aim of preparing and implementing new projects for the benefit of the homeland .
Dervišević welcomed the establishment of the Council under the Cabinet of BiH Presidency member Bećirović, expressing his readiness to contribute to work and action, especially in the Diaspora Council, which should be established soon. He invited Bećirović to attend the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliament of the State of Massachusetts.
The working group for Bosnia and Herzegovina has four main goals: the fight against the denial of genocide and the glorification of war criminals, the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO, the membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union and constitutional changes.
