This year's edition of the oldest amateur theatre festival, the 51st Edition of the Festival of Amateur Theatres, is being prepared in the small theatre town of Bugojno. The Theatrical Festival of BiH FEDRA, which will traditionally be held from July 13 to 20.
As every year, hardworking theatre enthusiasts from Bugojno and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina have prepared a week of theatrical and artistic magic and play that will present this year's best achievements of the amateur theater scene.
The expert jury consists of Božana Bijelić (champion of the Children's Theatre of the Republic of Srpska), Dženita Imamović Omerović (assistant professor in acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo) and Adrijana Gavrić (producer and presenter of the show "Scena" on N1 television).
FEDRA is an oasis of theatrical passion and creativity, a place not only for extraordinary performances, but also an inspiring platform for the exchange of ideas, artistic growth and collaboration. From 1959 to 2022, 596 plays were performed at the FEDRA Festival. In the official competition of 550, guests from Croatia 13, FEDRICA 15 and the unofficial program 18. According to free estimates, more than 3,000 amateurs have participated in the Festival so far, and the performances have been seen by more than 150,000 spectators.

In the 51st program. Theatre troupes from Travnik, Živinice, Trebinje, Konjic, Mostar, Tuzla, Nova Bila and Bugojno found their place at the Theatre Festival of BiH FEDRA with their performances. These are: Croatian Amateur Theatre Travnik with the play "Clouds" (Elvis Bošnjak) directed by Ante Bilić; UG for theatrical activity "Scena" Živinice - PI BKC Živinice with the play "Bašeskija, a dream about Sarajevo" (Darko Lukić) directed by Suad Avdagić and Murat Hasanagić; City Theatre Trebinje – Cultural Center Trebinje with the play "Eclipse" (Paolo Genovese, Miloš Lučić) directed by Miloš Lučić; Amateur Theatre "Neretva" Konjic with the play "Sisyphus of Bosnia" (Ajdin Tinjak) directed by the collective; Mostar Youth Theatre with the play "Death is My Love" which is the author's project of Sead Đulić; Tuzla Youth Theatre and "Savremena – Art School" Tuzla with the play "Hoću kući" (Based on the motifs of the text "House" by Lyudmila Razumovska, adapted by: Amila Beširović) directed by Adnan Mujkić; Youth Theatre "Korifej" with the play "Women's Dreams" (Ana Dragozet) directed and dramaturgy by Anela Križanac; Children's Theatre Eco Art Bugojno with the play "Bardov'ce" (according to the idea of L. Wade) - dramaturgy and direction is signed by the collective. Finally, there is the traditional play of the Fedra Bugojno Theatre, "Before Her is Life" (Amel Ugarak based on the motifs of texts by Maja Pelević and Miro Gavran) directed by Amel Ugark.
In the accompanying program FEDRICA, the youngest audience will be able to enjoy the plays DP Eko Art Bugojno, "Patuljak vam priča" and Teatar FEDRA Bugojno (children's scene) "Goofy World". In addition, in the accompanying program we will watch ap "Neretva" Konjic with the monodrama "Bujrum moji" and Theater Kuntrata from Croatia with the play "Lumin".
The accompanying program will also include two book promotions, "Bosnian and Herzegovinian Theatre – After World War II" (Tina Laco) and "Ponor" (Nedžad Milanović), and during the entire festival the audience will be able to visit the exhibition of paintings by Mirsad Konstantinović from the holdings of the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
FEDRINA creative laboratory this year is not missing with workshops for festival participants, but also interested individuals from Bugojno. This year they are workshops "Drama Education" (Sead Đulić), "Physical theatre with a tinge of stage speech based on Grotowski, Brecht and Brook exercises" (Senad Milanović), and presentation of workshops of the project "Theatre and Me: Building Life Skills through Art" (OKUP Bugojno through UNDP's MAKERS project with the support of the Porticus Foundation), has been announced from the FEDRA Press Team.
