A 25 million euro loan agreement with the EBRD was signed in Sarajevo, which will finance the construction of the tram line from Ilidža to Hrasnica.
The contract was signed by the State Minister of Finance Zoran Tegeltija and EBRD officials.
According to what is stated in the specification, the project should be finished by the end of 2025.
The loan repayment term is 15 years, including a three-year grace period, while the interest rate is variable.
We remind you that the tram line to Hrasnica will involve the construction of 12.96 kilometers of new railway, the construction of 20 new stops, as well as two turnstiles, in Ilidža and in Hrasnica, and the consortium of Turkish companies api Merkezi Insaat ve Sanayi A.S. was chosen as the contractor. and Yapiray Demiryolu Insaat Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S,

Considering the current circumstances in the transport infrastructure in the city, the construction of the railway
Ilidža-Hrasnica is a priority activity considering the overall mobility of citizens, economic costs and environmental pollution.
The project also has a wider significance, such as connecting the Sarajevo airport, which has an annual traffic of around 700,000 passengers, with the city - the explanation states.
The project should be completed on December 31, 2025.
