Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johann Sattler and US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy will have a meeting today in Sarajevo with representatives of the authorities of the Federation of BiH.
The meeting of the EU and US ambassadors to BiH with the authorities of the Federation of BiH is another opportunity to confirm the commitment of the EU and the US to the European path of BiH, the EU Delegation to BiH has announced.
It was pointed out that the granting of candidate status in December 2022 was an important milestone for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also an incentive for newly elected leaders to implement the reforms needed for EU accession with new momentum.
Significant reforms are necessary for the country to meet all 14 key priorities outlined in the European Commission's Opinion on BiH's application for EU membership.
Sattler and Murphy will first meet with members of the Government of the Federation of BiH headed by Prime Minister Nermin Niksic, and a political dialogue with representatives of the Government of the FBiH and the FBiH Parliament will be planned, during which they will discuss the EU accession process, strategic development of legislation and politics, as well as programming and financing with the support of the EU and the US, they announced from the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
